Gawarawila Plans Hike

Gawarawila plains is situated near Maskeliya, This place is also called as Gartmore estates and "GAWARAWILA PITTANIYA". Gawarawila plans is a place like Hortan place. The reason behind this statement is that after climbing the mountain forest at the top an open space can be seen with no tress. The sceneries through out the journey was so beautiful due to the fact that the forest was built up with different types of trees in which they possessed their own characteristics.

On to the left Holy Sri pada Mountain was visible over the forest. After coming to the top of the mountain a water stream is go through that open place. We started heading towards the waterfall. After a few meters walk we found a water stream which forms the Gartmore waterfall. We followed the stream and arrived to the place where the water fall start. No words can describe the beauty of the scenery we saw. The true beauty could be experienced only by seeing it from your naked eye . Gartmore waterfall was flowing under our feet and directly in front of us was Sri pada Mountain, down it was all greenish tea estates surrounded by mountains.

Do visit these places but make sure you leave the place the way it was when you entered in the first place . Don't leave anything but footprints.

ගවරවිල තැන්න මස්කෙළිය නගරයේ ගාඩ්මෝර් වතුයායේ පිහිටා ඇති අතර ගම්මු විසින් මෙය ගවරවිල පිට්ටනිය ලෙසද හදුන්වයි. ගවරවිල තැන්න මහ එලි තැන්න වැනි එළිමහන් පෙදෙසක් වන්නේ ගාඩ්මෝර් වතුයායේ ඇති මෙම කන්ද නැගු පසු ගස් වැල් වලින් තොර එළිමහන් පෙදෙසකට පිවිසීමයි. විවිද වර්ගයේ ගස් වලිනි සමන්විත වන කැලෑ මාර්ගය හරහා ඇති ගමන තරමක් ගුප්ත ස්භාවයක් උසුලයි. ගවරවිල තැන්න හරහා වැටී ඇති දිය පහර අවසානයේදී ඉතාමත් දැකුම් කළු ඉහල ගාඩ්මෝර් ඇල්ල සාධන අතර මෙම වතුර පාර දිගේ ගමන් කල විට එම දිය ඇල්ලේ මුදුනට ගමන් කල හැකිය. එම ස්ථානයේ ඇති සුන්දරත්වය කීමට වචන නැති තරම්ය. ඈතින් පෙනෙනා ශ්‍රී පාද උඩමළුව හා මවුස්සාකැලේ ජලාශය එම දර්ශනයේ සුන්දරත්වය දෙගුණ තෙගුණ කරන්නට සමත් විය. ඇතැම් සදහන් වල ඇති පරදී රාත්‍රීයේදී මෙහි උෂ්ණත්වය සෙල්සියස් අංශක 3 පමණ වන තෙක් අඩු වේ. ඔබත් මෙහි සුන්දරත්වය විදින්න යන්න. නමුත් මෙම පරිසර පද්ධති විනාස නොකරන්න වග බලා ගන්න.
